Kuwait- No end to makeshift markets
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: Kuwait Municipality's Public Relations Department announced that the Department of Public Hygiene and Road Works in Farwaniya Governorate conducted a field campaign on makeshift markets in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area in coordination with the police.
The campaign resulted in the issuance of 15 violations against hawking and confiscation of 57 cubic meters of a variety of vegetables plus used clothes. Statement added the objective of the campaign was to clean up various parts of the area under the campaign 'together we make it beautiful', which was launched by the Municipality to eradicate negative phenomenon and encroachment on public property that mars the beautiful scenery of the governorate.
