(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- An African national has been arrested for stealing RO25,000 from a vehicle in Muscat. The arrest has been made by the Department of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations at Muscat Police Command.
An ROP official said, 'The accused followed the citizen after he had withdrawn RO25,000 from a bank. The citizen kept the money inside his vehicle and left for home. The accused broke open the car and stole the money.'
The official said that the accused has confessed to the crime. 'He has been referred to the judicial authorities to complete legal proceedings. We urge citizens and residents not to leave valuables and cash inside their vehicles.'
