Man drowns swimming alone at a Clear Water Bay beach
(MENAFN- Asia Times) A man drowned after swimming alone at a Hong Kong beach in Sai Kung District in New Territories East on Wednesday morning, which was a public holiday for Buddha's birthday.
At around 7.30pm, swimmers at Clear Water Bay Second Beach off Tai O Mun Road saw the man, aged between 60 and 70, floating unconscious in the water and brought him back to shore, Wen Wei Po reported.
He was unconscious when he was taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital, where he was certified dead.
Police ruled out any foul play and had not yet found the man's HKID card, Oriental Daily reported.
