Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago Prime Ministers Meet With Qatar's UNESCO Candidate


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) St. George's and Port of Spain, January 15 (QNA) - Grenadian Prime Minister Keith Mitchell met with HE Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, advisor at the Emiri Diwan and Qatar's candidate for the director general post at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as part of the candidate's plans to visit several countries including Caribbean and South American countries.
Al Kuwairi presented his electoral program under the theme "Towards a New Start for UNESCO" his vision for the development of the organization, while valued the support of the Caribbean countries.
On the other hand, Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Keith Rowley met with the Qatari candidate in the capital, Port of Spain, where he thoroughly explained his vision for the position.
The prime minister expressed his admiration for the State of Qatar and his eagerness to develop the bilateral relations between both nations in investment, tourism and education and expressed his interest to know more about Qatar's development. He also confirmed the support of the Caribbean countries to the Qatari candidate concluding that Al Kuwari is eligible for the position due to his expertise.
The meeting was attended by Trinidad and Tobago's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dennis Moses. (QNA)
