Qatar cancels National Day celebrations in solidarity with Aleppo
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, Dec 14 (KUNA) -- Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has ordered that all celebrations and ceremonies on the State National Day falling on the 18th of the month be cancelled, the official Qatari News Agency said on Wednesday.
The Amir has given the orders to cancel the celebrations in solidarity "with the (Syrian) city of Aleppo where the residents have been subjected to some of the fiercest forms of repression, maltreatment, relocation and annihilation," the official statement said. (end) nnd.rk
