Kuwaiti Amb. to Lebanon hails diplomacy of Kuwait chief lawmaker


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, July 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's ambassador to Lebanon Abdelaal Al-Qenaei praised Kuwait's parliamentary diplomacy, led by Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim.
In a statement to KUNA, Al-Qenaei said on Saturday that the participation of Kuwait's National Assembly speaker at the Arab Economic Forum upon an invitation from Lebanon's Prime Minister-designate Saad Al-Hariri was an opportunity to exchange views on the economic aspects of Kuwait and Lebanon.
During his visit, Al-Ghanim held talks with Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, and Lebanon's Prime Minister-designate Saad Al-Hariri, where they exchanged views and emphasized the deep-rooted Kuwaiti-Lebanese brotherly relations, Al-Qenaei added.
He noted that Al-Ghanim had conveyed Kuwait's views on various economic and political issues, praising his active parliamentary diplomacy to convey Kuwait's view to the Arab and the world.
On July 11, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim arrived in Beirut, Lebanon, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation to participate in the 26th edition of the Arab Economic Forum where he addressed the forum about challenges facing Arab economy and prospects of reform in that regard.
Speaker Al-Ghanim was accompanied by Kuwaiti National Assembly's MPs Mohammad Al-Dallal, Al-Humaidi Al-Subaee and Khaled Al-Shatti.(end) ff.haq
