Gull is a thought and practice leader in the application of immersive software to real-world projects, helping visions become a reality by first developing high fidelity, true-scale virtual prototypes in Virtual and Augmented Reality.
'Orion Span is making real an experience that all people, everywhere, have been dreaming about for decades, said Frank Bunger, chief executive officer and founder of Orion Span. 'David's capabilities will highlight what an authentic astronaut adventure will entail including the thrill of zero-gravity, the northern and southern aurora, as well as futurism in space station design such as has never been seen before.
As a licensed architect, Gull understands that people's ability to visualize complex projects is inherently limited, and building any ambitious future requires buy-in, alignment, and clear understanding from an array of stakeholders. Gull founded Outer Realm to create a solution that showcases unbuilt projects and products as realistically as possible in order to ensure they are actually built, and to improve the product outcome through design iteration and validation.
With experience in developing over 500 Virtual Projects to date, Gull brings a unique combination of Design & Technical Expertise as an Architect, Technology Executive, and 3D Software Developer to Orion Span.
Gull brings his blended expertise in immersive visualization of futuristic enterprise visions and products, and real estate to help Orion Span bring their Aurora station space hotel to fruition.
Prior to Outer Realm, Gull was a VP at Floored, a Virtual Technology startup acquired by CBRE. He also has over 6 years of design experience at renowned architecture firm Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill, with several award-winning projects. Having graduated first in his class from Cornell University's #1 Ranked Architecture Degree, he also received a minor in Visual Representation.
