The , which was formerly known as the Western Truck School, was first opened on June 1977 by Everett and Greta Nord in West Sacramento, California. The institution aimed at training men and women to become professional drivers. In 1989, the ownership of the school was divided, and Greta Nord established the Nordic Enterprises, Inc. and several schools operated under the company that included those in Modesto and Fresno, California and in Tualatin, Oregon. The other campuses that were opened were the Stockton and Sacramento in California, the Tacoma in Lakewood, and the Kenmore in Seattle, Washington. In July of 2000, the school in Portland, Oregon was transferred to the vice president of Nordic Enterprises, Inc., Mr. Willy Eriksen.
