China to deliver 60 rail vehicles for cereal transport to Tunisia

(MENAFN) Tunisia's National Railway Company was announced to have been delivered sixty Chinese-made rail vehicles for carrying cereals.

The vehicles have been manufactured by China's Baotou Beifang Chuangye, which is a company specialized in producing freight cars with high potential for international development and competitiveness.

The rail vehicles are to be employed in transporting grain on two lines, linking the capital Tunis to Bizerte in the north and Ghardimaou in the northwest, as explained adviser to Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed, Ridha Saidi.

Economic and trade relations among both Tunisia and China "should take more intense pace," as stressed the adviser.

Saidi added "Tunisia will sign up to the Belt and Road Initiative, and it will certainly have positive influence in strengthening bilateral cooperation and attracting Chinese investors to do business in Tunisia."
