Oman- Academic Council for colleges of applied sciences reviews projects


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Academic Council for the colleges of applied sciences held its extraordinary meeting this year under the chairmanship of H E Dr Abdullah bin Mohammad al Sarmi, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Higher Education and vice president of the council.

During the meeting, the results of the project for performance indicators for the colleges of applied sciences for the years 2014-15 and 2015-16 were announced. The meeting included a visual presentation on the methodology of the project and the indicators and mechanism used in the audit.

The College of Education in Rustaq won the first place at the level of the six colleges to implement the project in 2014-15. The College of Applied Sciences in Salalah won the first place to implement the project in 2015-16.

During the meeting, the Academic Council adopted the nominations of deans' assistants and heads of the academic departments of colleges of applied sciences, while the faculties of the advanced centres in the project were honoured, in addition to honouring Dr Zuhair al Humiri, supervisor of the Performance Indicators Project.
