Moroccans protest against US embassy move, Gaza massacre

(MENAFN) On Sunday, more than 10,000 Moroccans chanting "death to Israel" took to the streets of Casablanca to voice their rejection of the United States' decision to move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

Carrying Palestinian flags and placards that affirmed Jerusalem as "Palestine's eternal capital," protesters called for holding Israel fully accountable for the grave atrocities in the occupied Palestinian territory as well as the massacre in Gaza.

The angry crowd also reaffirmed support for the Palestinians' struggle to attain their legitimate rights, including their right to return to their homeland and establish their independent state.

Since May 15, 65 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli gunfire and tear gas in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Palestinians were protesting against the US embassy move to Jerusalem and calling for the end of the 11-year siege on the Strip and their right of return to the homes their families were expelled from to make way for the formation of the state of Israel.
