EU, Algeria overcome imports diplomatic conflict

(MENAFN) The European Union and Algeria were announced to have resolved their conflict over European imports to Algeria, rising above a diplomatic crisis.

The crisis has erupted after the European Commission disapproved of Algeria's decision to cease its imports of a number of products from Europe without checking with its allies in the northern bank of the Mediterranean.

A government source said that Algerian Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel has concluded his visit to Brussels with positivity after "Europe showed an understanding of the difficult economic situation experienced by Algeria."
