Amman, May 2 (Petra)-Jordan strongly condemned Wednesday's terrorist attack on the headquarters of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) in the Libyan capital Tripoli.
According to the Libyan news agency, suicide bombers blew themselves up inside the HNEC, which wounded 3 people, as the security forces clashed with the attackers and besieged them inside the Commission's headquarters.
On a related context, Jordan also blasted the two terrorist bombings that targeted a mosque and a market in the Nigerian northeastern city of Mobi on Tuesday, as well as the terrorist attacks in the Afghan capital of Kabul and Khost province near the Pakistani border last Monday, which killed dozens, including journalists.
"Jordan condemns in the strongest terms these terrorist attacks, in which the terrorists are trying to destabilize human societies, intimidate innocent civilians, threaten world peace and stability, and kill media witnesses who report these atrocities to the world," said Minister of State for Media Affairs, Mohammed Momani, on Wednesday.
Momani, who is also Government Spokesperson, reiterated Jordan's stance calling on uniting the international community's efforts in facing terrorism as part of a holistic strategy that puts an end to this phenomenon's increasing danger and henious crimes.
Momani expressed the Jordanian government's sincere condolences to the governments of Libya, Nigeria and Afghanistan over the victims of the terrorist attacks, wishing speedy recovery to the injured.
More than 60 people were killed on Tuesday in two suicide bombings that targeted a mosque and market in the northeastern Nigerian city of Mobi, which bore the blueprint of the terrorist group Boko Haram.
On Monday morning, the Afghan capital saw two suicide bombing attacks that killed 25 people, including 10 journalists, and wounded others. The Khost province, near the border with Pakistan, also suffered a suicide attack that killed 11 children and injured 16 others.
