Morocco begins military drills with 15 countries


(MENAFN) The Moroccan Armed Forces (FAR) was declared to have commenced its military exercises, with army troops from fifteen countries joining them.

The army revealed in its statement the 15th edition of African Lion drill to be held together with military forces as well as observers that are coming from countries that include Tunisia, Egypt, Mauritania, Germany, Italy and France.

The exercises were also confirmed to be concluded in April 29, as six cities in Morocco are set to host them with the Moroccan army assuming leadership and operational control.

It was also explained to be covering training and strategic simulation in land and air, along with training in command activities as well as missions that aim to tackle violent extremist groups.
