Italy: 13 suspects of migrant trafficking arrested


(MENAFN) Italian authorities declared that they have detained 13 suspects in a high-speed migrant trafficking group processing between Tunisia and Sicily,whose members ally radical jihadist.

Italian financial police in Sicily confirmed that a wiretapped talk between two dealers revealed one confessing his desire to travel to France,launch a suicide attack,and request prayers.

The dealers had also trafficked contraband cigarettes of worth USD 86,259 per trip, with the capability to arrange two trips a week.

Police announced that the suspects included Italian, Tunisian and Moroccan.
