(MENAFN) Foreign relations official Hussein al-Azi informed Sputnik that the Houthi movement is willing to achieve a peace settlement with Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi along with the Arab coalition.
The official declared "we are ready for peace [...] that respects the pride of the Yemeni people, which will put an end to the interference in the affairs of Yemen."
Al-Azi then pointed out how Yemeni politicians who aid President Hadi "simply tools that do not solve anything, and the decision about the war is in the hands of Saudi Arabia."
He then suggested "if Saudi Arabia wanted peace, this would certainly help the peace process in Yemen."
