West State Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, LLC, is a medical organization that focuses primarily on caring for patients who have joint injuries or sustained sports injuries. Established since 2006, the organization is devoted to offering their clients the quality healthcare services that they deserve.

Prior to his career in medicine, Dr. Granger served in the United States Army for nearly 16 years and is a veteran of tours in both Iraq and Bosnia. Since then, Dr. Granger has become a well-known specialist within the field of medicine and is an Orthopedic Surgeon with West State Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Amassing over ten years of experience in the industry, Dr. Granger has attained expertise within the areas of the treatment of arthritis, deformity, or disability, pain trauma and fractures, primary and reconstructive surgery, bone disease, joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, and sports medicine. In his current capacity, Dr. Granger practices medicine at Doctors Hospital at Deer Creek in Leesville, Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital and Central Louisiana Ambulatory Surgery Center in Alexandria, Louisiana, and is the current Medical Director for Specialty Health Care.

Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, to further his professional development, Dr. Granger is an affiliate of several organizations and medical associations locally and internationally that include the American Medical Association, Louisiana State Medical Society, Louisiana Orthopedic Association, and the International Association of HealthCare Professionals.

Besides practicing medicine at several local hospitals, Dr. Granger is highly involved with his community in a variety of other ways. He is a member of several local sports clubs, including the Lions Club and Ducks Unlimited. In addition, he is the Coroner of Vernon Parish as well as being the designated team physician for the Leesville Wampus Cats and performing sports physicals for Vernon Parish schools.

Throughout the course of his education and training, Dr. Granger attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the United States Military Academy at West Point before going on to obtain his Medical Degree from Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in 1992. Thereafter, Dr. Granger completed his internship and orthopedic residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado, and completed a second residency at Tulane University, where he received the Resident Research Award in 1998.

When he is not working, Dr. Granger enjoys traveling, duck hunting, fishing, and generally being outdoors.
