11 people killed in Turkish plane crash in Iran - official




(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TEHRAN, March 11 (KUNA) -- All 11 people on board a private Turkish aircraft which crashed in southwestern Iran were killed Sunday, an Iranian official confirmed.

The Canadian-made Bombardier plane crashed in a mountainous region in southwestern Iran killing eight passengers and three crew members, Ali Mardani, governor of Kiyar city, was quoted by official Irna news agency as saying.

He said a search and rescue team was dispatched to the ill-fated aircraft, which was en route from Sharjah, the UAE, to Istanbul, Turkey. (pickup previous) fz.bs
