(MENAFN - Afghanistan Times) AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: In response to accusations of Russia, Iran and Pakistan during the Kabul Process conference regarding Afghanistan's failure in countering terrorism especially Daesh, the National Security Adviser Haneef Atmar has offered a joint intelligence interrogation from the militants of Islamic State, also known as Daesh terrorist group, imprisoned by Afghanistan.
Haneef Atmar offered it after the Russian, Iranian and Pakistani representatives expressed their concerns over Daesh presence and operational activities in Afghanistan during the Kabul Process Conference, held on February 28, here in Kabul. Representatives from 20 countries participated in the conference in which President Ashraf Ghani unfolded a comprehensive and precondition offer of Talks to Taliban.
Although, the conference had telecasted live, but the question and answer session had not yet.
Citing video record of the conference, Pajhwok Afghan News said the representatives from Russia, Iran and Pakistan put their points of views and shared their concerns over the Daesh activities and production of opium in Afghanistan.
Responding the concerns by the diplomats from the mentioned countries, NSA Atmar assured Afghanistan's commitment in fight against terrorism—across the board. Atmar said terrorist attacks could not weaken Afghan government and people, adding fight against state sponsored terrorism would be chased without any discrimination among the terrorist groups—harbored and sheltered by Pakistan—the hostile neighbor.
'Daesh is a mixture of Pakistani and Afghan Taliban,' Atmar rejected the claim of Daesh militants in Afghanistan have come from Syria and Iraq.
'Daesh in Afghanistan made of Pakistani and Afghan Taliban had some links with ISIS in Iraq and Syria,' Atmar added.
Highlighting Afghanistan and US led NATO military crackdown against Daesh and other terrorist groups, Atmar said four leaders of Daesh have been killed in Afghanistan and currently the terrorist group has not yet announced another leader.
In addition to that, hundreds of hundreds militants of Daesh have been killed in Afghanistan and the rest escaped Afghanistan and sheltered in Pakistan.
Referring to the terrorist activities in northern parts of the country, NSA Atmar said some Taliban, Daesh, Uzbekistan Islamic Movement and east Turkistan movement who are being converted into Deash are operating in the area, but he commended the Afghan and US led NATO forces for chasing terrorists in mountains and valleys across the country.
Atmar also thanked India for strengthening the Afghan air force in fight against Taliban and Daesh.
Atmar offered joint investigation from Daesh militants that have been held by Afghan security forces to know the group origin and support behind them.
Responding the Pakistani envoy, Tasnim Aslam, Atmar said violation of Pakistan on Durand Line and occupation over Afghan territories, safe terror havens in Pakistan must be addressed on priority basis to win war on terror and establish lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan and region.
