South Korean political delegation to be received in North Korea


(MENAFN) South Korea has declared its plans for a top political delegation to be sent to North Korea as an effort for a diplomatic resolution to be found.

A high-level government delegation of ten members was confirmed by the South Korean presidential office to be received in North Korea on Monday.

Blue House spokesman Yoon Young-chan reportedly stated "the special delegates will have extensive discussions over issues including creating conditions for North-US talks to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula and improving inter-Korea ties."

The spokesman also revealed the ten-member group to be including five delegates, with national security adviser Chung Eui-yong among them, along with intelligence chief Suh Hoon.
