JAF continues its humanitarian duty towards the Syrian IDP's


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces/ Arab Army continues to receive Syrian Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in need of medical treatment, it said on Saturday.

The Jordan Armed Forces/ Arab Army has been dealing with the impact of the Syrian crises in the past years through facilitating of receiving the Syrian IDPs who faced difficult circumstances that forced them to get displaced to the Jordanian land, the army said in a statement to the Jordan Times on Saturday.

The Jordan Armed Forces is seeking in coordination with the UN and the international humanitarian organizations working in the service area near the Rukban camp to increase the number of receiving the Syrian patients and injured to reach 300 cases per day.

"This humanitarian mission which lies on JAF needs unified efforts of joint humanitarian work between JAF from one side and the UN organizations and the international humanitarian organizations from the other side," it added in the statement.

"This calls the UN and the other international organizations to work on increasing the number of the patient transferring vehicles, improving and providing the medical clinics with needed equipment and medical staff to deal with expected medical cases on the most perfect work," indicated.

Currently, the Jordan Armed Forces in coordination with the UN is working on facilitating receiving and transferring the critical medical cases from Al-Rukban camp to the Jordanian hospitals.
