Bahrain: "Persian Gulf" error on school textbooks calls for reprinting

(MENAFN) Bahrain: "Persian Gulf" error on school textbooks calls for reprinting
State news agency BNA confirmed that due to political outlawed action of addressing the water spaced area around the Arab island kingdom as the "Persian Gulf", Bahrain ordered to reprint 17.000 of English school textbooks.

Alongside Bahrain, many Gulf Arab countries were offended by this term, of which often stands for, in English, the gulf which great amounts of oil shipped through.

On the other hand, Iran, the non-Arab known as Persia located on opposite site of the sea lane, is being accused by the Gulf Arab countries of pursuing control over region.

Gulf Arab states are still persistent on the term "Arabian Gulf" when referring to the area.
