Saudi Arabia provides USD 3.5 mln for Syrian refugees in Lebanon


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Jan 29 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia's Development Fund signed an agreement with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Monday to provide USD 3.5 million to the Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

The funding will be for the implementation of the second phase of the housing project for over 10,000 Syrian families, according to the official SPA news agency.

This is part of the Fund's assistance to the Syrian refugees in Lebanon and other neighboring countries.

The Fund's total contributions for the UNHCR's projects amounted to USD 30.7 million. (end) od.bs
