Kuwaiti environment activists take part in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ABU DHABI, Jan 16 (KUNA) -- Chairperson of Kuwait Environment Protection Society (KEPS) Wejdan Al-Oqab on Tuesday highlighted the importance of the participation of Kuwaiti environment friends team in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW).

The participation in ADSW aims to shed light on the projects of Kuwaiti students to protect environment as part of KEPS plan for voluntary action, adopted in 2016, she told KUNA.

These projects highlight the importance of promoting public awareness about crustaceans' accommodation to different environments and the impacts of camping on wildlife - particularly the bird habitats, she said.

Al-Oqab thanked President of the Abu Dhabi-based Environment Friends Society Dr. Ibrahim Ali for his efforts to facilitate the participation of the Kuwaiti activists in the event.

The Kuwaiti delegation includes KEPS board member Nawaf Al-Mowail, Amina Ali, Ahmad Murad, Hassan Al-Mowail, Laila Al-Ramzi, Abdullah Al-Tamimi and Abdllah Al-Sawagha.

The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week opened January 14 and lasts until Saturday, January 20. (end) bsu.gb
