Kuwait- Public relations academy to be launched Jan 28


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Jan 16 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Public Relations Association (KPRA) will launch an academy on January 28 with the chief aim of promoting Kuwaiti youth skills in the field and qualify them for the labor market, KPRA has said.

The Public Relations Academy will also seek to disseminate the culture of modern trends in the field.

The concept behind the academy has been prompted by buoyant demand on the field form youth, together with the development of public relations at the public and private sectors, association's chairman Jamal Al-Nasrallah told a press conference on Tuesday.

The step is likely to boost skills and capabilities of PR professionals through theoretical lectures and practical training, offered by specialists, Al-Nasrallah added. The would-be academy's goals focus on conveying sound scientific and practical curricula to broaden trainees' perception and boost their communication skills, as well as promoting abilities for crisis management and collective work, he added.

For his part, association board member Abdulmohsen Al-Dabous said that the academy came as translation of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's great attention to Kuwaiti youth.

Registration for joining the academy will open later today on the association's website for Kuwaitis aged 18-34.

Head of Public Relations at the State Ministry for Youth Nasser Al-Arfaj reiterated support to the academy, just like all initiatives seeing to assist and qualify young Kuwaitis. (end) zak.msa
