(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) /wp-content/uploads/2017/11/24133738_10212613076594827_195314473_n.jpg">Thanuwana Serasinghe, a Sri Lankan boy living in Victoria, Seychelles has brought fame to Sri Lanka by creating the Guinness world Record for the youngest author ever for a published book.
Thanuwana, who beat the Guinness record set by Adauto Kovalski Da Silva of Brazil at the age of 5 years and 302 days, had taken just three days to author a book titled 'Junk Food' published by the Sri Lankan Publishing House, Sooriya Publishers. When he achieved this feat, he had been 04 years and 356 days old.
Born to a Sri Lankan couple domiciled in Seychelles, Thanuwana has been an avid reader. His interest to learn, enabled him to get the ability to write alphabets of seven different languages even before he started kindergarten.
At present he is enrolled at the International School in Victoria and is pursuing his studies as a grade two student. He had excelled in his studies at school. His father, Thusitha Serasinghe serves as the Director Hotel Technology of the Le Meridien Fisherman's Cove (Marriott International) Hotel.
Young Thanuwana launched this book at a felicitation ceremony held in his honor on 24th November, 2017 at the Sri Lanka High Commission in Seychelles.
Copies of his book were presented to Vincent Meritone, the Vice President of Seychelles and Tikiri Herath Gunathilake, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Seychelles at a glittering cultural event.
