(MENAFN) Hyundai Motor Co. said Sunday it aims to revitalize its sales in the US by releasing eight new sports utility vehicle by 2020.

Head of Hyundai's US unit said: "the company's sales in the US has been falling for the fifth consecutive years, as we failed to cope with market situations."

While 65% of the automobile demand in the US market is for SUVs including pickups, the company mostly focused on sedans such as Accent and Genesis, with only two SUVs, that is Tucson and Santa Fe.
