Jordan, Saudi Arabia discuss preparations for pilgrimage season


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Jan. 10 (Petra)--Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Wael Arabiyat discussed with Saudi officials during a recent visit to Saudi Arabia, preparations for the upcoming Haj (pilgrimage) season.

Arabiyat met with Haj and Umrah minister Mohammad Saleh bin Taher Benten during which he reviewed with him services provided to pilgrims during the haj season.

Arabiyat called for increasing visas granted to Jordanian drivers and companies to ensure the safety of pilgrims on roads.

The minister also met with head of the National Tawafa Establishment for Pilgrims of Arabian Countries Abbas Qattan as well as officials from the General Syndicate of Cars to discuss means to improve services offered to pilgrims.
