Brazil arrest drug dealer responsible for prison riot


(MENAFN) Brazilian police have detained a drug dealer who orchestrated a vicious jail riot which took place on New Year.

In the central state of Goias, the brutal prison riot led to the death of nine inmates and injury of fourteen.

The 34 year old drug dealer identified as Stephan de Souza Vieira who had been a fugitive since November was at last arrested in the state of Rio de Janeiro at a luxury apartment.

Before breaking out from the Aparecida de Goiania jail, the convict known as BH was serving a sentence of 26 years in jail for drug trafficking.
