Bangladesh Writers Journalists Association Qatar (BWJAQ) accorded a felicitation to renowned Bangladeshi journalist and host of popular TV documentary show, Mustafa Feroz. The show under the title of 'Probashi Mukh or 'The face of expatriates goes air every Monday on Bangla vision Television. The live show narrates the weal and woe of nearly 10 million Bangladeshi living aboard. Its guests are mostly expatriates who narrate their own story of success and fall, prospect and progression of manpower related issues.
Mustafa Feroz was attending as a concerted guest to a discussion session on the role of media and expatriates in the great freedom struggle organised by BWJAQ in line with Bangladesh Victory day. Dr Habibur Rahman, the noted author of ‘The Emergence of Qatar' attended the program as chief guest.
The national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines' country manager Ahsan Habib and editor of monthly Bangla newsletter ‘Probasher Khobor', M Saiful Alam were present as special guests. The program was presided by BWJAQ President, Professor AKM Aminul Hoque and jointly anchored by Tamim Raihan and M A Salam. In his keynote speech, the general secretary of BWJAQ Noor Mohammed emphasised the important roles and responsibilities played by the journalists in our daily lives.
He lured the work of Mustafa Feroz for presenting the audiences an exploratory presentation of his show in an honest, ethical, and unbiased way. Bangladesh is one of the top manpower exporting countries in the world.
Therefore, we, as journalists should play the leading role in highlighting the affluence, wellbeing, happiness, and sorrow of large of Bangladeshi expatriates, Mustafa Feroz added. Commemorating the Bangladesh liberation timeline, Dr Habibur Rahman elaborated the irreparable debt to the freedom fighter who laid their lives for the liberation of our motherland. The father of the nation Bongobondhu, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was an undisputed leader in our history.
