British government to set up legal right to access high-speed internet




(MENAFN) Each residence and businesses in the UK has been assured by the British government to be granted by 2020 a lawful right to high-speed internet.

The Guardian reported Wednesday that providing homes and business with the right to attain internet speeds of 10mbps as a minimum a decision to be pursued by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport of the UK.

The declaration follows the FCC repeal of the Obama-era net neutrality rules which left US customers ahead of internet uncertainty.
