Justice Secretary to tackle racial discrimination in justice system

(MENAFN) UK Justice Secretary David Lidington has made a vow to execute a "key principle" of "change or explain" once racial bias is exposed in the justice system.

Aiming to deal with "race bias" in the system in England and Wales, the justice secretary is presenting a framework to achieve his purpose.

The declaration came after MP David Lammy released a report revealing that the system is bias against individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds.

The 35 suggestions MP Lammy conveyed were promised by Mr. Lidington to be practiced, even though a proposal to place targets for ethnic diversity in the judiciary was rejected.
