Trump again asks Pakistan to act decisively against terrorists

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 19 December: The US President Donald Trump has once again asked Pakistan to take decisive action against terrorists.

According to a statement issued from the White House website, the US national security strategy has been announced which states that Pakistan gets millions of dollars in aid every year and it should take decisive action against terrorists. It said there cannot be partnership with any ally if assistance with terrorists continues. The policy also envisages greater cooperation with Pakistan and investment in case Pakistan makes greater cooperation in war against terrorism.

Meanwhile, the US has vetoed a resolution of the United Nations Security Council condemning the move of the Trump administration to recognise Jerusalem as capital of Israel.

Fourteen members of the Security Council in a meeting in New York had called upon the Trump administration to take back the decision regarding accepting Jerusalem as Israeli capital. However, the US went ahead with its biased attitude and rejected the resolution. The US allied countries including UK, France, Japan, Italy and Ukraine have voted against the US in the Security Council.
