Saudi- Eight Maoist rebels killed in India after attack

New Delhi, Rabi'I 26, 1439, Dec 14, 2017, SPA -- Eight suspected Maoist rebels were killed Thursday by security forces in southern India, police said.
According to dpa, the rebels were killed in a gunfight in the Nellamadgu forest in Telangana, state police chief Mahender Reddy said in the capital, Hyderabad.
The rebels attacked a team of police and paramilitary troops on a routine patrol. An exchange of fire took place, Reddy said.
"The Maoists fled back into the jungles after which our forces found eight bodies of the rebels as well as a large cache of weapons," Reddy said.
