Jordan- Cold snap forecast over weekend


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Dec.14(Petra) -- Temperatures are forecast to slightly drop Thursday and Friday, bringing relatively cold weather across much parts of the Kingdom, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, with low clouds mainly in the northern areas.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), daytime temperatures expected today in Amman and the northern parts will reach 16 degrees Celsius, 13 in the southern regions, dropping down to 6 degrees in all parts. Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will register a high of 24 degrees and a low of 13 at night, the JMD added.

Temperatures are set to slightly rise on Saturday, but similar cold conditions will continue to prevail, with southeasterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD said.
