Uzbekistan, Hungary eye issues of economic interaction

Uzbekistan and Hungary mulled issues of the economic cooperation, as Hungarian envoy Peter Santo held talks at the Foreign Trade Ministry of Uzbekistan on Dec.12.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation, the ministry reported.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation in agriculture, livestock, machine building, etc.
The parties also agreed to consider the organization of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in February 2018.

The Hungarian embassy opened in Tashkent in June 2017. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in March 1992, and since January 1996, the cultural and trade representation of Hungary has been operating in Tashkent.
