VIAL REAL, Portugal, 2nd December, 2017 (WAM) -- The UAE is participating in the IWAS World Games 2017, which began in Portugal on Thursday, 30th November 2017, with the participation of 450 athletes representing 44 countries.
The 7th edition of the weeklong Games is being organised by the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation, IWAS and includes competition in archery, athletics, para taekwondo, swimming and table tennis Tareq Sultan bin Khadem, Chairman of the UAE Federation Sports of People with Determination, and member of IWAS, said the strong UAE team of 34 athletes is participating in the categories of archery, table tennis, athletics and swimming.
