Turkish plane makes emergency landing in Sudan after bomb threat


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KHARTOUM, Nov 30 (KUNA) -- A Turkish Airlines plane has made an emergency landing Thursday, after a British passenger onboard reportedly received an email containing a bomb threat.

The aircraft, which was carrying about 107 passengers, was bound to Cairo from Nairobi, landed at Khartoum airport after receiving the threat while over Sudan's airspace, spokesman of the Sudanese civil aviation Abdulhafeth Aduraheem told KUNA.

All of the passengers have been evacuated; the process of examining the aircraft and the investigation is still ongoing. (end) mmm.ss
