One Dead, Over 20 Injured As School Bus Overturns In Upper Swat

SWAT: A tragic road accident occurred in Darmay Landi Cham area of Upper Swat when a school bus carrying students overturned after reportedly suffering a brake failure, leaving one student dead and more than 20 others, along with three women pedestrians, injured.

According to Rescue 1122 Swat, six ambulances and medical response teams immediately reached the scene after receiving the emergency call and launched rescue operations.

Initial reports suggest that more than 40 female students were onboard the bus at the time of the accident. During the incident, three women standing near the roadside were also injured.

Rescue officials said the injured students and women were provided first aid on-site before being shifted to different hospitals for further treatment.

The deceased student has been identified as Hoorain, daughter of Khurshid, a resident of Landi Cham. Following the incident, a wave of grief spread across the area.
