Humbleteam Completes Proprietary Research Ranking 40+ Sports Organizations By Digital Quality

Humbleteam, a UX/UI and product design agency specializing in sports organizations and funded startups, has completed an independent research study evaluating the digital products of 40+ sports organizations across 50+ criteria. The study covers eight key areas of the digital fan experience: homepage and navigation, ticketing and hospitality flows, merchandise and commerce, content and editorial structure, match data presentation, subscriptions, matchday experience, and sponsorship visibility. The research maps where the gap between fan expectations and current digital product reality is widest across the sports industry.
The organizations included in the study span football clubs, federations, and sports platforms across Europe and North America - including Premier League clubs, La Liga clubs, Bundesliga clubs, Formula 1, MotoGP, and the NFL.

As part of the research, Humbleteam ranked British football clubs by overall digital product quality. Nottingham Forest ranked highest. Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Brentford ranked lowest.

FC Barcelona led the overall ranking across all organizations. The research revealed that club size and global recognition do not reliably predict digital product quality - several lower-profile clubs outperformed much larger organizations on UX fundamentals.
The research was conducted manually by Humbleteam's product design team and is intended to give sports organizations a structured benchmark of where their digital products stand relative to the wider industry.

The study also highlights several recurring UX patterns that separate top-performing sports organizations from the rest - including streamlined ticket purchase flows, personalized content surfaces, and consistent mobile-first design across all key fan journeys.
The agency is open to discussing the methodology and results with sports organizations, digital directors, and product teams interested in improving their fan experience.
