Makkah Al Mukarramah: The Medical Unit of the Qatari Hajj Mission organized a specialized training workshop in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

The workshop targeted mission members from various administrative, technical, service, and logistical departments, aiming to enhance their skills and preparedness for immediate and safe response to emergency health situations during the Hajj season.

This initiative is part of the Medical Unit's efforts to promote the safety of Qatari pilgrims by training mission staff and equipping them with the skills for immediate initial intervention until specialized medical teams arrive.

This ensures a rapid and effective response to emergencies. The training program aims to improve participants' ability to handle various health situations that may arise in the holy sites, particularly in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.

It empowers them to administer emergency first aid, which helps minimize health complications and safeguard the well-being of Qatari pilgrims.

This reflects the Qatari Hajj Mission's commitment to providing a comprehensive and safe field healthcare system during the Hajj season.

The workshop, presented by specialized doctors and nurses from the Emergency Department's medical unit and certified CPR instructors, covered theoretical and practical topics.

These included the fundamentals of first aid and how to handle common emergencies such as fainting and choking.

Intensive CPR training was also conducted by a specialist physician from the Hamad International Training Center, using realistic simulations of emergency situations encountered during Hajj rituals.

The training also included practical exercises using specialized mannequins, providing participants with hands-on experience in rapid intervention skills and familiarizing them with the correct procedures for rescuing critical cases.

The training was highly interactive, with members of the mission actively asking questions and discussing various potential field scenarios.

The medical unit emphasized that these specialized meetings are a crucial part of the mission's pre-training plan, as they play a direct role in enhancing response times and improving overall safety among Qatari pilgrims, especially given the mission members' round-the-clock presence among the pilgrims and their families in the holy sites.

Members of the mission emphasized the importance of these training programs in enhancing their confidence and ability to act appropriately in emergency situations.

They affirmed that this level of preparation reflects the great care that the State of Qatar devotes to the safety of its pilgrims and its commitment to providing the highest levels of humanitarian and health care during the Hajj journey.

The Qatari Hajj mission commended the significant efforts exerted by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving the pilgrims, through its advanced health and organizational system and integrated operational capabilities.

These contribute to enhancing the quality of services and healthcare provided to the pilgrims, and creating a safe and accessible environment that enables them to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind. This reflects the great care and attention that the Kingdom gives to serving the pilgrims.

The Qatari Hajj mission, with the support and follow-up of the relevant authorities in the country, continues to implement its operational, organizational, and health plans according to the highest standards of quality and readiness.

This aligns with the Ministry's vision for developing Hajj services and providing a safe and accessible spiritual experience that enables Qatari pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
