Former diplomat Anil Trigunayat said that the India-US relationship, despite some statements here and there, remains very robust. Trigunayat, in a conversation with ANI, said that the visit essentially repairs the India relationship and revives the Quad prospects to a great extent. He said, "The India-US relationship, despite some statements here and there remains very robust and it's a global comprehensive strategic partnership where India is a strong strategic pivot and the relationship continues to strengthen, in which the Quad has acquired a much greater significance...The four member countries whose foreign ministers are going to be present here, including Secretary Rubio...The visit essentially repairs the India relationship and revives the Quad prospects to a great extent...India is the host this year of the summit, and we hope that the summit will take place in due course of time as per schedule."
