Advocate Injured in Hyderabad Hit-and-Run
A speeding car rammed into Advocate Khaja Moinuddin on Saturday while he was getting into his vehicle outside his residence in Masab Tank under Nampally police station limits in Hyderabad. According to Nampally police, Moinuddin sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
"We have registered a case and are investigating the matter. We are also tracing the accused," the police said. The incident, captured on CCTV, is under investigation, police said, adding that efforts are underway to trace the accused.
Telangana Student Killed in US Road Accident
Meanwhile, in a separate incident on May 18, a 24-year-old Indian student pursuing her Master of Science (MS) degree in the United States was killed in a road accident on Saturday night, family members said.
The deceased, identified as Navya, hailed from Chervugattu village in the Narketpalli Mandal of Telangana's Nalgonda district.
According to her family, the incident occurred when a speeding car collided with the vehicle she was travelling in while she was on her way home from a part-time job. The family members further said they learned about the tragic mishap through Navya's friends in the United States. (ANI)
