Israeli Airstrike Kills Two in Gaza as Ceasefire Violations Continue
(MENAFN) Two Palestinians were killed and three others injured on Saturday after an Israeli airstrike hit a civilian vehicle in Gaza City, according to local emergency and medical sources.
The Gaza Civil Defense Authority said the strike targeted a vehicle near Al-Wahda Tower on Al-Shifa Street in western Gaza City, resulting in casualties and further injuries.
“Martyrs and wounded fell as a result of an Israeli airstrike that targeted a civilian vehicle near Al-Wahda Tower on Al-Shifa Street in western Gaza City,” the agency said.
Medical sources also confirmed the deaths of two people and reported three additional injuries following the attack.
The incident took place in an area reportedly affected by previously agreed ceasefire arrangements and Israeli military withdrawal lines. These so-called “yellow line” boundaries mark zones from which Israeli forces were said to have pulled back under a phased proposal linked to a US initiative to end the conflict in Gaza.
The arrangement separates areas under Israeli military control from zones where Palestinian civilian presence is permitted, though the situation on the ground remains fluid amid ongoing violence and uncertainty over the durability of ceasefire understandings.
