Hussein, Faisali Win To Set Up Final-Round Title Decider

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Faisali and Hussein set up a dramatic title decider in the CFI Jordan Pro League after both sides secured crucial victories in Week 26, leaving the championship race to be settled in the final round.

At Amman International Stadium, Faisali edged Ramtha 3-2 in a pulsating encounter. The hosts asserted control early on and were rewarded in the 15th minute when Majdi Attar finished off a well-worked move to open the scoring.

Faisali thought they had doubled their lead soon after, only for the effort to be ruled out for offside.

They did extend their advantage in the 34th minute, as Mohammad Hallaq calmly converted from close range following a cross from the right.

Ramtha responded quickly, reducing the deficit four minutes later through Moamen Saket, who redirected a cross into the net with a first-time finish.

Ramtha carried their momentum into the second half and levelled the score in the 51st minute, with Moatasem Zoubi placing a composed shot into the corner.

Both sides pushed for a winner in an open contest, but it was Faisali who struck the decisive blow late on. Mohannad Khair Alla netted in the 89th minute with a low drive from inside the box to secure all three points.

Meanwhile, at Al Hassan Stadium, league leaders Hussein maintained their advantage at the top with a controlled 2-0 victory over Sama Sarhan.

Hussein imposed themselves early, taking the lead in the 7th minute through Yousef Abu Jalboush. They doubled their lead just before the break, as Reziq Bani Hani found the net in the 43rd minute.

In the second half, Hussein managed the game effectively, slowing the tempo and dominating possession to see out a comfortable win.

Following these results, Hussein remain top of the table with 59 points, three ahead of second-placed Faisali on 56.

The title will now be decided in a high-stakes final-round clash between the two sides on Thursday in Irbid. Faisali must win to claim the championship, while a draw or victory for Hussein would secure their third consecutive league title.
