My PhD is investigating representations of nature in fiction set in Tasmania.
I am the author of four novels and a guide to surviving climate change. My next book, 'Human/Nature: On life in a wild world', will be published by NewSouth in April 2025.
I am a former Environment and Energy Editor for The Conversation and was most recently the Communications Coordinator for the Tasmanian Land Conservancy, an organisation protecting nature on private land. I am also the Managing Editor of 'Island' magazine.
