Dr. Samson Maekele Tsegay is a research fellow at the School of Education, Anglia Ruskin University, UK. He obtained an MA and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy (Comparative Education) at Beijing Normal University, China. In 2020, he also completed another Ph.D. in Education and Social Justice at the University of Roehampton, UK. Before joining Beijing Normal University, Dr. Tsegay worked for about ten years at the University of Asmara and the National Board for Higher Education in Eritrea. Moreover, he conducted various research projects and published many articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Tsegay also serves as an editorial board member for various academic journals, including Teaching in Higher Education and Access: Critical explorations of equity in higher education. His research interests focus on comparative education, critical pedagogy, and global citizenship education.
