GCC Reaffirms Support For Lebanon's Security, Stability
Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi has affirmed that relations between the GCC states and Lebanon are historical and robust, built on and strengthened by numerous foundations.
Al Budaiwi emphasized the GCC's support for the Republic of Lebanon in all matters that would enhance its security, stability, and territorial integrity, and fulfill the aspirations of its people for security, stability, and development.
He pointed to the necessity of concerted international efforts to support Lebanon in facing current challenges and to advance the path of stability and development.
This came during a seminar on GCC relations with the Republic of Lebanon, held on Wednesday at the GCC Secretariat headquarters. The GCC Secretary-General said that Lebanon's stability is directly linked to the Lebanese state's monopoly on the use of force and the implementation of international resolutions, thus guaranteeing the state's sovereignty.
