Cyber Alert Issued Over Fake LPG Payment, KYC Scam Messages

(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) Srinagar- Authorities have issued a cyber alert warning the public about fake LPG payment and KYC update messages being circulated to trick users into sharing sensitive banking details.

The fraudulent messages, often containing malicious links, are designed to appear legitimate and prompt users to take immediate action. Officials said such links may redirect users to fake websites that capture personal information, including bank credentials and one-time passwords.

Authorities have advised users not to click on unknown or suspicious links and to avoid sharing personal or financial information through unsolicited messages. Verification of any such communication should be done only through official websites or authorized customer care channels.

Officials emphasized that cyber fraud can lead to immediate financial loss if users unknowingly provide sensitive details through such links.
