Brazil Women's Handball Team Prepares In Tunisia


(MENAFN- Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA)) São Paulo – Brazil's women's national handball team will hold a week-long training camp in Tunisia from this Monday (6) through next Sunday (12). According to the Brazilian Handball Confederation, the initiative aims to promote squad integration and further develop the team in an international environment.

A total of 21 players have been called up for the camp, including athletes with established international experience as well as newcomers joining the senior squad ahead of upcoming competitions - among them this year's South-Central American Championship and the 2027 Pan American Games, to be held in Lima, Peru. The initial phase of preparations, held in Brazil, has already been completed.

As part of the program, the team coached by Cristiano Rocha will face Tunisia's women's national team in a friendly match in Djerba next Saturday (11). For the hosts, the game is part of their preparations for the African Women's Handball Championship.
